Professional Background

An experienced insurance defence lawyer, Kyle currently practices primarily in the area of bodily injury claims. He does, however, also have significant experience handling disability, life, property, and product liability claims. Known for his pragmatic and steadfast approach to resolving disputes, Kyle advises on anything from routine to complex, multimillion-dollar claims.

Before joining SVR Lawyers in 2018, Kyle assisted plaintiffs with medical malpractice claims. That experience continues to serve him well today, particularly when reviewing medical records, questioning plaintiffs, and instructing experts.

Kyle’s focus on the early assessment of a claim and his understanding of the goals and priorities of his clients, as well as of plaintiffs and opposing counsel, help him develop productive recommendations to bring a matter to resolution.

Originally from Saskatchewan, Kyle still regularly acts on claims commenced in that jurisdiction. He has successful trial experience before the Saskatchewan Provincial Court and Court of Queen’s Bench.

A long distance runner, Kyle can often be found on the trails around Calgary clearing his head or contemplating a challenging legal issue. Never one to spend his day glued to his desk, Kyle enjoys meeting clients, attending questionings, and appearing in court.
