Professional Background

Gemma Dee is an articling student with ten years’ experience as a lawyer in the Philippines practicing in the areas of civil, corporate, and employment law. Prior to moving to Canada, Gemma worked as the in-house counsel for an investment company. In 2020, she completed her Masters in International and European Trade and Investment Laws in France. She joined SVR in 2020 and worked as a legal assistant while undertaking all the necessary exams to obtain her Certificate of Qualification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada’s National Committee of Accreditation. Over the course of her articling year, Gemma is aiming to learn about each practice area within the firm and how to apply her vast experience to her practice in Canada.
